Terms and Conditions of Use
By using the Social Swing app, you accept the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using the application.
1. Service Description
Social Swing is an application that connects dancers and swing enthusiasts, allowing them to discover events, follow other users, participate in private and group chats, and share event-related media. The app is not a ticket sales service nor a travel or event agency.
2. Registration and User Account
- To use the main features, you need to create an account via email/password or through external providers (e.g., Google, Apple).
- If you use external providers, you are responsible for complying with their terms of use.
- You must provide truthful and up-to-date information and maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- If you suspect unauthorized use of your account, you must promptly inform the app manager.
3. Permitted Use of the App
- The app must be used in compliance with the law, common sense and the swing community.
- It is forbidden to use the app for illegal purposes, to harass, threaten, defame or harm other users or third parties.
- It is forbidden to publish content that violates third-party rights (e.g., copyright, trademarks, image rights) or that contains offensive, discriminatory, obscene, violent or otherwise inappropriate material.
- It is forbidden to attempt unauthorized access to systems, other users' data or protected parts of the application.
4. User-Generated Content
If you upload text, images, videos or other content (e.g., in chats or event media sections), you remain solely responsible for such content. Do not upload content that you do not have the right to share or that involves personal data of third parties without their consent. In particular, if you publish photos or videos depicting other people, you must ensure you have their consent or that the images were taken in public contexts where their presence was reasonably foreseeable. Failure to comply with this rule may result in content removal and, in case of serious or repeated violations, account suspension. By uploading content, you grant the app manager a non-exclusive and free license to display, reproduce and show it within the app itself, to the extent necessary to provide the service and its features (e.g., showing event photos to participants).
5. Events and Event Responsibility
Events shown in the app may be created by users or third-party organizers. The app functions as a tool for publishing and discovering events, but is not responsible for the organization, execution or any changes or cancellations thereof. Any relationship (e.g., financial) between you and event organizers occurs outside the app and does not involve the Social Swing manager.
6. Chats and User Communications
Chats (private and group) are designed to facilitate social organization related to dancing. Do not use chats to send spam, unwanted mass messages or offensive content. Chats are not end-to-end encrypted and messages are stored on servers used by the app. We recommend not using the chat to share sensitive or strictly confidential information.
7. Moderation, Blocking and Reports
- You can block other users if you find their behavior inappropriate.
- You can report users, events or content that you find abusive or not compliant with community rules, including content that depicts you without your consent.
- Administrators will evaluate reports and may take measures such as content removal, user blocking or other actions deemed necessary.
- In case of content removal following a report, the content author will be informed of the removal and the reason, in compliance with applicable regulations.
8. Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "as is". While committed to keeping the service active and functional, the manager cannot guarantee the absence of errors, interruptions or bugs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the manager is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the app, participation in events or behavior of other users.
9. Account and Service Termination
- You can request the deletion of your account at any time from the app settings.
- In case of serious or repeated violations of these terms, the account may be suspended or closed by administrators.
- The manager reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the service (in whole or in part), informing users adequately when possible.
10. Changes to Terms
These terms and conditions may be updated over time. Any relevant changes will be communicated through the app or other appropriate channels. Continued use of the app after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.
